UPDATE: 21 June 2018
Following our interview with Emily last week, we received an update on Emily’s performance from the Special Olympics’ Ireland Games. She performed really well and had some great shots out on the course on both Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June. She made all her teammates and supporters proud and came in 4th in her division. She was delighted with her achievement and will now take a few weeks off from training, but after the holidays, she will be back in action preparing for more competitions.
Emily, a golf competitor on the Special Olympics Ireland Team, is excited to complete in the 4-day event which is now underway. The President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, attended the official opening ceremony in Dublin last night.
Emily is one of 1,600 Special Olympians competing to represent Ireland at the Special Olympics World Games being staged in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates in March 2019. She joined us in our PFS offices in Ireland and was interviewed by Susan Callan, Marketing Manager. The dedicated athlete is excited to go for Gold!
