Database Administrator (DBA)

Thanks to our incredible growth we are looking for a DBA to join our company.

This is a fast paced and expanding business looking to bring in individuals who will form the core of the company to help create next-generation solutions. You will form part of a hungry and talented team of developers who share the same vision and aspirations.

The Role:

  • The successful candidate will have a background as a Database Administrator.
  • Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server Database Development.
  • This will include standard database administration areas such as security, backup/restore, configuration management, performance tuning and High Availability/clustering.

API Team Manager & Implementation Specialist

API Team Manager and Implementation Specialist responsible for managing the API function and assisting new and existing customers with their integration to our SOAP and RESTFUL API suites.

Ensure the successful launch and “go-live” of customer implementations.

Responsible for guiding the customer through the process of software implementation and maintenance of all process, guides and documentation with regards to the API’s.

Works on multiple software consulting projects as assigned, focusing on the analysis of the customer’s business goals, objectives and needs.

This role is part Product, part implementation, delivery & support and includes people management.

The successful candidate would expect to establish best practice within the API team with regards to all internal and external processes – working with internal and external clients.

The Role:

  • Manages the API team – to include API Implementation staff and API developers.
  • Analyses customers’ business requirements and objectives; develops a plan to meet customers’ business needs.
  • Ensure solutions meets specifications and the customer specific operational workflows.
  • Assist in addressing gaps between the software solution and the customer’s business needs.
  • Leads onsite and remote sessions with customers in order to configure, train, and test the software and the associated processes.
  • Provides consulting services related to use of software applications such as business process review, planning sessions, setup, testing, readiness assessment, data import/conversion, custom report needs, and documentation.
  • Support the Business Delivery Team with training and/or other implementation-related needs

  • Must have professional communication skills, a proactive mindset and be able to articulate technical problems effectively.

Product Owner / Project Manager

PFS are now looking to appoint a Product Owner/Project Manager who will report to our CTO (PFS).

The Role: This role will be involved with strategy, roadmap and defining features as well as the following responsibilities:

  • Working with various teams in the business to define the product roadmap
  • Full ownership and management of the product from inceptions, requirements gathering through to deployment
  • Working with a designer, you will project manage the development of a next generation Back Office Portal
  • Liaising with all workstream leaders understand their daily activities and processes, taking feedback of how the current system hinders them in their daily activities.
  • Liaising with Account Managers to tap into client feedback and complaints about our current MACP interface.
  • As well as catering for current functionality, improving it and making it more user friendly, you will be asked to add additional functionality to reflect the ever growing suite of products PFS offer.
  • Introduce intuitive and useful dashboards
  • Working with developers and architects to ensure all necessary functions, tools, reports, interfaces are redeveloped on the new platform while redundant / unnecessary code is not.
  • Working with developers to ensure that the new platform employs new database and technical methodologies and techniques – Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ ,etc.
  • Ensuring that the new system meets PSD2 and MFA requirements.
  • Ensuring the system meets ISO 27001 requirements
  • Ensuring the system caters for accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss with the deployment of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1
  • Implementing Single Signon Functionality(Allowing 3rd parties log in seamlessly through their own interfaces)
  • Developing detailed BRDs which can be handed over to a team of developers to evaluate and draft technical specifications before development
  • Developing User stories and a test plan for the new system
  • Developing Training manuals for the platform to be used internally and externally at different levels

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar Product role
  • Any experience within banking, Payments Fintech is desirable
  • Track record of exceeding targets based on performance of products
  • Strong communicator with the ability to deal with stakeholders both internally and externally at different levels
